CARSHALTON COTTAGE

The cottage was an old farm house that had been gutted by the owners who wanted to have it as a rental property. We literally had a blank white canvas to work with. The cottage has 4 bedrooms all en-suite and two kids rooms. An open plan dining, lounge and games area with ample space for socializing. Glass sliding doors open out from the living room on an outdoor patio that looks out towards a beautiful dam.
We drew inspiration from the surrounding farm land choosing to use warm, neutral coloured furniture with a lot of textured materials. The addition of soft sage green and cornflour yellow feature walls, paired with brighter pops of blue, green and yellow scatter cushions and linens, gave the interior a contemporary look.
